The Man of Steel Has Been Revealed!
Warner Bros. let all geeks down when they announced the delay of Man of Steel to June 14, 2013, so the marketing team decided to give us a sneak peek of Henry Cavill in the suit of the iconic DC Comics superhero.
The color of the suit and cape give it a retro feel, but its shiny, sleek, modern look is similar to Andrew Garfield’s outfit in The Amazing Spider-Man. Zack Snyder is giving his Superman the same kind of flair seen in characters from his previous films, 300 and Watchmen. The suit looks great from afar, but zoom in and it looks as if Cavill is wearing a pool cover or snakeskin suit. I will judge it better when I see it in action. And what’s up with Cavill’s slicked-back, Gordon Gekko-looking hair?
And kudos to the Warner Bros. marketing team in releasing this great photo before the douchey bagel and coffee guy released a blurry photo from his iPhone 3GS.
The Man of Steel, directed by Zack Snyder, stars Henry Cavill as Clark Kent, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Russell Crowe as Jor-El, and Kevin Costner and Diane Lane as Jonathan and Martha Kent.
