trinity_01Warner Bros. is sending out vague casting calls for the upcoming Man of Steel sequel, and the studio is looking for a female lead that resembles a popular character in the DC Universe.

Bleeding Cool reports the studio is searching for a woman “somewhere between 25 and 33 — or at least leave the impression of a woman in that age range.”

The report goes on to say, “I can tell you that she needs to be physically strong. They’re specific about that. And I can tell you that the discussion in some agencies who have been submitting actors for this role is that they’re sending up candidates for the role of Wonder Woman. They don’t know that it’s her, it’s just become their expectation, or at least a rumor that’s colored their conception.”

Warner Bros. confirmed at Comic-Con that the Man of Steel sequel will be a Superman/Batman film and revealed last month that Ben Affleck will don the bat cowl. The studio is denying Wonder Woman’s appearance in the next movie, but one can’t help but speculate her appearance based on the casting call.

With Superman and Batman teaming up in the next film, Warner Bros. is probably gearing up for a Justice League movie sometime in 2017. Having Wonder Woman in Superman/Batman wouldn’t be such a bad idea. It would introduce audiences to the character and set up her expanded role in Justice League.

The Man of Steel sequel, starring Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck, hits theaters the summer of 2015.
