While most of you were sitting down in a movie theater watching The Avengers for a second or third time last weekend (you know you did), Sony Pictures released a teaser trailer of the highly-anticipated Skyfall. Daniel Craig returns to star as agent 007 in the 23rd film of the James Bond franchise, and yes…he looks damn good. The trailer is compelling, and very much leaves the plot shrouded in mystery. All we know is that Skyfall is a mission, one that may have traumatized Bond based on his reaction to the interrogator’s questioning. Though we do not get a glimpse of Javier Bardem, we are teased with a silhouette of the long-haired villain walking away from a burning house. It is a damn good trailer. After the disappointment that was Quantum of Solace, it seems as if director Sam Mendes is looking to get back to developing the character with a dark, grim story that really affects Bond and his relationship with M.
Skyfall, directed by Sam Mendes and starring Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem, Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes and Albert Finney, is slated to be released on November 9.
