Warner Bros. is pushing its final marketing campaign for the finale to Christopher Nolan’s Batman, The Dark Knight Rises. We were first given a teaser poster that showed buildings falling and the debris forming a silhouette of the bat signal, followed by a powerful image of Bane walking away from a broken Batman mask, and now we have an all-out, badass image of the Dark Knight standing in front of flames and crumbled buildings with debris forming a bat signal in flames. While I still prefer the first two posters, I’m sure many fans will like this one as it boasts more color and demands more attention than its dark, grim predecessors. With The Avengers out of the way, everyone now waits for Nolan’s thrilling conclusion.
The Dark Knight Rises, directed by Christopher Nolan and starring Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard, hits theaters July 20.
